Perfect Pearls Peacock
Even though Mother’s Day was last week, I still want to wish all the Mum’s out there a belated Happy Mother’s Day! Hope it was a lovely day for you, mine was!
I have been having a revisit with my Perfect Pearls for the last couple of weeks and have found it a lot of fun! I haven’t worked on anything specific, I just got the pearls out, some plain cardstock and decided to have a play. I’m pretty happy with the results and will now think about what I might use the images for. Probably some cards.
I basically did two methods – the first one was simply colouring my own backgrounds with the pearls, blending (where I could) the colours to create a kind of rainbow effect. I then threw on some gold peel off stickers I had in the back of my craft draw and cut around the stickers. I’m really happy with the peacock! The shimmery effect (which unfortunately doesn’t show up so well in my scans in this post) mixed with the gold peel off sticker is really very pretty.
The second method was sticking the peel off stickers on the card stock first and then colouring in with the pearls. I usually mix a bit of the powder with some drops of water in the lid of the powder I’m using. Once the lid dries it’s fine to put it back on the pot – just don’t leave unlidded pots of pearl powder unattended where small children can reach!! I can guarantee from personal experience the end result is VERY messy!!! (But my kids had a ball and no-one got hurt in the process!)
I’ve scanned the images and posted them below. It really was a whole lot of fun to just play with the pearls and remind myself of how much I love shimmer and perfect pearls!

Kaszazz Gelati Mothers Day card
I hope you had a safe and happy Easter! We certainly had a wonderful time and the Easter bunny paid us a very welcome visit. I’ve eaten so much chocolate (and I’m a total chocoholic) that I’m almost (but not quite) able to go a couple of days without it.
I’ve been a bit pressed for time lately so I made only really simple cards this year for Easter – nothing noteworthy or worth putting on my blog, but the recipients (my hubby, my boys and my in-laws) just loved them and that is the whole point of why I do what I do!!
So…onto the next card making event in my calendar! Mother’s Day! I’ve made a really simple Mother’s Day card so thought I would share with you. I’ve used the Kaszazz Gelati scrapping range (I just lurrrrvvvve the Gelati range!), some Bazzil Basics, a cute flower (exclusive to Kaszazz), some bling, one of the VERY versatile word sets for stamping the greeting and some gorgeous hot pink ribbon. Very simple but I think it looks very pretty. And just by changing the greeting using some of the words from the stamp set, the card very quickly becomes a birthday card, thinking of you card etc. I love the bright, fresh colours and I think I’ll use this card as inspiration to make some other cards. I’ve got some birthdays coming up very soon so this may morph into some birthday cards very soon!

Hurrah! After many months of not being able to access my blog, I’ve got it back in action (thanks to my web host provider!). I’ve also been able to give it a makeover. I’ve added a new theme and decided to go very bright this year! I love classic colours like black and white but also love all the bright pinks and purples too.
I’ve got a lot of photos to upload of some papercrafting I have been doing so I’ll get cracking and upload the pics in the new little while. If you have your own papercraft blog that you’d like me to link to, just send me an email and I’ll add to my blog list.

This is very exciting news! Many Kaszazz consultants (yep, including me!) have been waiting for Kaszazz to release a clear album range and now they have!! There are 4 great shapes and each album has 5 clear pages and hinged rings to hold them together. I love clear albums. The effect is so different to a standard card stock album. If you would like more info or to place an order, simply email me – info@papercraftsinspirations.com.au
Happy papercrafting!
